These plates are a direct replacement for the oem snow flap plates. They are laser cut for an exact fit. The plates are thicker than the oem plates. In addition the plates were designed to angle the snow flap back which raises the flap to provide extra clearance when backing up. The factory Yamaha plate has more material underneath the flap rivet holes. This provides additional leverage that in turn makes the flap easier to bend. The Barn of Parts Plate is shorter and less prone to bending. The flap comes with all rivets required to secure it to the sled, and also secure the snow flap to the plate.
