The 11-18 Apex EXUP cables require adjustment and are also prone to tearing as they age. Improper adjustment and torn cables can hinder performance and fuel mileage if valve gets stock in the closed position. The BOP cable delete allows for the elimination of cables all together. The plate locks the valve in the open position. We opted for this solution over removing the valve all together as the bolts that hold the valve in place often times are always stripped or snap off which creates a headache. Many will find that the shield bolts often strip and break off too. With the BOP cable delete installed there is no need for the shield, so if salvageable removal is not possible don't spend too much time over it. The plate can be installed with exhaust still on the machine. Be sure to leave the servo motor in place and plugged in so the ECU does not display any error codes.
