This chain case protector is designed to provide additional protection to the bottom of the chain case, which is quite vulnerable. It is constructed of tough 6061 aluminum that is 1/8" thick. The protector has a gradual approach angle that provides snag free gliding action up and over a struck object. Other protectors on the market are still prone to snags like the oem plastic protector. The protector bolts in place around the stock protector, and requires (4) 15/64" holes to be drilled. Stainless bolts and flanged lock nuts are provided. Front foot well plate must be removed to access to front mounting bolts.

Note: SR Vipers require one rivet to be removed. Once rivet is removed it is then drilled to 15/64", and serves as one of the front mounting holes. In addition, a small corner of the belly pan must be trimmed for protector to sit flat on frame. Installation instructions will detail these steps.
